The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a reflection of the hard work and dedication required to be a successful trainer and assessor. Our strategic approach has you complete the core units in a specific order earning you four valuable skill sets. Then select six elective units based on the training package rules.

Please Note that this qualification requires you to deliver practical demonstrations of you conducting training and assessment sessions with groups of learners in person, as well as various other practical tasks where you will need to engage with others. These sessions need to be recorded and submitted as evidence. Please ensure you have the ability to meet this criteria before enrolling in this qualification.

We will conduct an interview with you before enrolment to determine how we can support you in your learning journey with HBTA. We want to ensure that we understand your needs, and this also gives us an opportunity to identify areas where we can implement strategies to ensure you get the most out of your experience while studying with HBTA.

To meet the entry requirements below, we will be asking you for a copy of your qualification in your respective vocation, as well as an up to date resume.

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Entry Requirements

Those entering this qualification must be able to demonstrate vocational competence in their proposed training and assessing area. Vocational competence is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

Packaging Rules

Total number of units = 12 

6 core units  plus

6 elective units 

Core Units - all 6 must be completed

Group A Training and assessment - at least 3 units to be selected

Group B Learner Support

Group C General

Imported Electives to provide further choice - Only 2 units are allowed

Fees

$3,350 Distance with full one on one mentoring and support 

$350 per unit for single units of competency resulting in a SoA. All units can be completed individually.

Payment Plan – Individually Funded Students can apply for a payment plan for fees over $1500.

*South Australia Government Funding Available $1200 Co-Contribution Fee payable. Participant Eligibility Criteria apply.

Practical Requirements – these will be supervised by your HBTA Facilitator and they will guide you accordingly:

Please be aware that this qualification has practical components which you would need to follow. You need to ensure that you have access to at least 4 individuals who you will facilitate training and assessment to.

  • You will deliver 3 sequential group training sessions of at least 30 minutes duration each to 1 group of learners of at least 4 individuals, with another 2 different individual training sessions of at least 30 minutes duration each to a learner who is not part of the above group.
  • You will need to conduct assessment six times on 3 different individuals.
  • You will need digital technology skills to record yourself delivering training and assessing, and uploading this evidence to your assessor.
